Abraham Rivers was a Florida Pioneer from South Carolina that settled in north Columbia County, Florida near Falling Creek. He was the son of David and Philadelphia Mixon Rivers. He married (Selah or Celie) Samantha Manker on April 12, 1835. They had the following children: Lewis William Rivers b. 08/27/1836; Sarah Rebecca Rivers b. 06/22/1838; Mary Elizabeth Rivers b. 09/25/1839; Celia Margaret Rivers b. May 1842; Julia Adelle Rivers b. May 24,1844; David James Rivers b. Jun 26, 1847; Martha Jane Rivers b. 11/02/1854; Emma Caroline Rivers b. 12/24/1856; and Abram Purrington Rivers b. June 10, 1859. His wife,his daughter, Julia, and his son, Abram Purrington Rivers are buried in this cemetery by him.
