Samuel Clifford Whitmore, 75, of 5357 Olive avenue, an employe of the Long Beach city water department for 25 years, died Tuesday at his home.
Born in Newton, Iowa, he came to Long Beach 37 years ago. He was a member of Long Beach lodge No. 390, IOOF and Del Mar Rebekah lodge No. 275.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Agnes Whitmore, a sister, Mrs. Madge Thompson of Paso Robles, Calif., a niece and a nephew.
With Long Beach lodge IOOF officiating, services will be conducted in the Holton & Son chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Rose Hills Memorial park.
