Obituary:
Nancy Waters, age 60 of Albany, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 12th at the Assembly of God Church in Albany with Rev. Bruce Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at the 9 Nail Ranch Cemetery in Shackelford County under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Nancy Vickers was born March 26, 1953 in Stamford, Texas to parents Ben G. Vickers and Falbie Waters Vickers. She graduated from Lueders Avoca high school in 1971. She married Ronnie Waters in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 10, 1980. Nancy worked as a Secretary for Protec Well Service and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Albany. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them. She enjoyed planting flowers in the spring; her favorites were the hibiscus and esperanzas. Nancy loved animals also especially her two dogs, Daisy and Bailey and her bird C.J.. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Ben G. Vickers and Falbie Vickers; four brothers, Donnie Ray Vickers, Bobby Carol Vickers, Johnny Earl Vickers, Bennie "Buddy" Vickers; two sisters, Betty Ruth Vickers Larance, Peggy Jane Vickers and two sisters in law, Mary Vickers, Charlene Vickers.

Nancy is survived by her husband Ronnie Waters; two daughters, Cheryl Nail and husband Jamie of Albany, Jessica Hargett and husband Chris of Granbury; two brothers Steve Vickers and wife Caroline of Sonora, Texas, Harry Vickers and wife Terri of Albany; one sister, Cindy Hawkins of Abilene; three grandchildren, Colby Hargett, Casyn Hargett, and Jack Nail.
