Victor R. Lindstrom
Victor Roland Lindstrom, 82, of rural Durand, died Sunday January 23, 2000 at Chippewa Valley Hospital, Durand. He was born March 24, 1917 in Maxville Township, Buffalo County,a son of John and Frances Mathis Lindstrom. He attended Burnside School.

March 24, 1941, he married Evelyn Johnson in Decorah, Iowa. They farmed in Maxville township until 1971, when they retired, but continued to live on the farm.

Victor was a great family man, who loved to golf, play cards, and spend time on his son's farm. He always liked to joke around and have fun. He was a member of Lyster Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Durand; two daughters, Karen (Sam) Schroeder of Pepin, Janet (Lyle) Pelke of Colfax; three sons, Gary (Denise) Lindstrom, Steven (Mary) Lindstrom, Randy (Becky) Lindstrom, all of Durand; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Christine Walter, Colfax, Florence Abbott of Menomonie, Leona Grippen of Durand; one brother, John (Angie) Lindstrom of Modena; and one brother-in-law, Eddie Walmsley of Freeburg, Pennsylvania.
