Massimo Da Vià was born in Nebbiu, Belluno, Italy on March 10, 1872 to Epifanio Da Vià (1838-1899) and his wife Filomena Burrei (1840-1913). He married Amelia Elisabetta Del Favero on February 4, 1899 at Valle di Cadore, Belluno, Italy. They had 7 children, 6 daughters, Lena, Linda, Emma, Eda, Mary and Margaret (my grandmother), and a son Epifanio who died young. Max left his family to seek out work many times and the last time (around 1920) he did not return.
