Daughter of Weeden Harrison Jarvis and Elizabeth Jane Hensley Jarvis. Twin sister of Sarah J. Jarvis. Serena married Lemuel Sida Witte on February 6, 1879, at Minnora, Calhoun County WV. Lemuel was a son of Charles and Christina Wilhelmina (Schwartz) Witte. He was born in Gilmer County VA (WV) November 13, 1858 and died August 8, 1934. Mr. Witte was a prominent farmer in the area and was appointed a deputy sheriff for Calhoun County in July 1897.
