Barnes, Elsie Loure, 90 of Methodist Ridge, St. Clairsville, Ohio loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at her home.

She was born at Beatrice, WV on February 6, 1919 a daughter of the late Everett D. and Avis L. Haught Lamp.

Loure was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ at St. Clairsville and former member of the Belmont County Extension Homemakers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Phillip "Butch" Barnes; her loving granddaughter, Tara Tuttle; brothers, Denver and Duane Lamp and sister Dorothy Byers.

She is survived by 5 generations of loving family including her children, Dave (Sandy) Barnes of Bellaire, Dale (Doris) Barnes of Bellaire, Don (Kathie) Barnes of Neffs, Dan (Debbie) Barnes of Bellaire, Diana (Randy) Barack of St. Clairsville, Debbie (Rick) Picetti of Lansing and Doris (George) Starkey of Stewartsville; brothers and sisters, Helen Rogers of Canton, OH; Jack Lamp of Massillon, OH; Bob Lamp of Brewster; OH; Dan Lamp of Coshocton, OH; Roger Lamp of Canton, OH; Judy Carpenter of Columbus, OH and Larry Lamp of Coshocton, OH; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. with Everett Hutson officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

The family wishes to extend "special thanks" to Loure's caregivers; Janet, Debbie, Michelle, Sherri and to Valley Hospice.
