Mark Nolan Leque was born in Bellingham WA on April 27, 1955, to Neil & Gloria Leque.

Mark attended Birchwood Elementary School, Shuksan Middle School and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1973. He also attended Western Washington University.

He worked at D&D Plastics in Ferndale before moving on to work for Mr. Steak in Bellingham, WA. This experience enabled him to take a management position at Mr. Steak restaurant in Renton WA; before moving back to Bellingham where he owned and managed Big Scoop Restaurant.

His interests turned to law enforcement and in April 1991, he completed his Washington State Law Enforcement Certification. He worked as a patrol officer before moving on to juvenile probation officer for Lummi Law & Order in Bellingham; up until the time of his death.

Mark loved to fish the Nooksack River and hunt for ducks.

He attended Hillcrest Chapel and had a deep faith in Jesus Christ.
