Here it is said she homsteaded a place and paid for it by feeding the farmers around her. She met Chris Ostrom and married him in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1910.
Her parents were Edgar & Ester M. (Bacorn) Canfield. Her mother died in Tioga County, New York in 1880 and her father died in Cortland County, New York in 1926.
