Funeral services for Etta Vernell Crockett were held this afternoon at the chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home, followed by burial in the West Side District Cemetery. Mrs. Crockett passed away Friday in a Bakersfield hospital. She was born Nov. 29, 1895, in Central, Ariz. She was a resident of fellows for the past 21 years. She had been a resident of the state of California for 37 years. Mrs. Crockett is survived by her husband, Lawrence; two sons, Wesley and Kenneth Ferguson, both of San Jose; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Wood, Paso Robles, Mrs. Vernell Smith, Camberage, Idaho, Mrs. Louise Winder, also fo Camberage and Mrs. Ruby Escalante of San Jose; two sisters, Louise Liner of Fellows and Bernice Johnson of Los Angeles; three brothers, John W. Johnson, Miami, Ariz., Charles L. Johnson of La Habra and Hiram W. Johnson of Fillmore; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
