Evelyn Louise Larker went to be with her Lord on April 1, 2023 in Mobile, Alabama.

Evelyn was born on October 19, 1933, in Bratt, Florida where she grew up.

She met her husband Norm, who played baseball for the Mobile Bay Bears, when he proposed to her. They married on September 4, 1954, at St. Joan of Arc in Mobile, Alabama.

Her husband's baseball career would take her many places including Cuba, Dominican Republic, Japan and Los Angeles where she experienced Norm playing in the 1959 World Series as a LA Dodger.

Louise and Norm lived most of their years in Long Beach, CA, where she loved serving family and friends with her true southern upbringing. Next to her grandchildren, this was her greatest joy.

She cherished her memories of time spent on the beaches of the Gulf Coast in her youth and her years as a family with her husband and children, and then with her grandchildren.

Louise loved caring for her roses and flowers and working in the soil; these things always reminded her of her mother who enjoyed doing the same.

Her grandchildren could tell you so many happy stories of fun times that she would create for them, their birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, Easter egg hunts, and many other special occasions.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Norman Larker and her first-born son Duane Larker and 9 siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Larker; Blaine Larker; Shane Larker, his wife Christy and their seven children - Andrea Larker, Allison Chism (Michel) and their two children Lorelai and Shane, Abigail Larker, her son Joshua, Patrick Larker, Aaron Larker, George Larker, and Jacob Larker; her grandsons, children of Duane Larker, Collin Larker and Toran Larker, his daughter Layla.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 4, 2023, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama 36619.
