A celebration of James' life will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Grace Bible Church, 15748 North Glenn Hwy. in Sutton. Pastor Larry Davis will officiate.
James was born January 31, 1929 to Alva & Georgia (Wyatt) Williams in Comstock, Texas. He entered into the U.S. Army on July 22, 1948 and served 13 years, receiving a Purple Heart from injuries sustained in the Korean Conflict. James had had moved to Anchorage in August of 2007 to 2009 and he had also lived in Sutton.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Alva & Georgia Bell Williams; sister, Eileen Homer; and wife Georgia Bernice Williams. He is survived by his son, Phillip Williams of Sutton, AK; daughter, Evangeline Beth Williams, Baumholder, Germany; son, Matthew Williams of Las Cruces, NM; and three grandchildren.
