PINEVILLE, N.C. -- Mr. Joe "Bud" Bassett Satterfield Jr., 49, died Monday, August 15, 2005.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at the Stough Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be at Pineville Cemetery.
A native of York, Mr. Satterfield was a son of the late Joe Satterfield Sr. and Iris Trent Satterfield. He owned and operated a small printing company with his mother until it closed. He was retired from the Cornelius (N.C.) Police Department as a 911 dispatcher and from the South Carolina National Guard as a master sergeant. He was a master mason with the Williams Masonic Lodge in Cornelius and a member of Oasis Shriners. He was a member of Garr Memorial Church.
Surviving are his wife, Francina "Frankie" Satterfield; his daughter, Courtney of Pineville; two sisters, Sandra LaCasse of Fort Mill and Jo Robbins of Catawba, N.C.; and his granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Garr Memorial Church, or to Hospice of the Carolinas.
