Mrs. Sallie Ann Bedwell, 88, mother of Dr. T.C. Bedwell, of this city, died at 5:30 o’clock Friday afternoon at the King’s Rest Home, 3826 Wesley street. She had been in ill health for some 10 years.

Funeral services had not been set Friday night, with James-Coker-Peters in charge of arrangements. Services will be conducted by Rev. T. Lee Miller, pastor of Kavanaugh Methodist Church and Rev. W.O. Majors, pastor of Lamar Baptist church. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.

Mrs. Bedwell was born on December 22, 1864, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Fletcher. She was married to ohn (sic) Bedwell on July 5, 1883 in Mulkeytown, Illinois. For the past 36 years she had made her home in Hunt County, residing in the White Rock community for several years before moving to Greenville. She was a member of Kavanaugh Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. T.C. Bedwell, Greenville; Jess L. Bedwell, Fountaine, California; and one daughter, Mrs. Lillian McNaughton, Los Angeles, California, and one brother, R.F. Fletcher of Arkansas.
