GAFFNEY, SC-- Jackie Lee Allison, 57, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at his residence.
Born in Gaffney on January 7, 1948, he was the son of Jack M. Allison and the late Juanita Quinn Allison. Mr. Allison was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. He graduated from Gaffney High School and the Firefighter Academy. Mr. Allison was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was retired from the City of Gaffney, where he worked as a firefighter and EMT for 25 years.
In addition to his father, Mr. Allison is survived by two sons, Timothy Lee Allison and Anthony (Tony) Allison, both of Spartanburg; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Pittman of Gaffney; two sisters, Anita Jean Allison of Conway, SC, and Kay Allison Mayer of Rock Hill, SC; a niece, Allison Rose Mayer; a nephew, James Thomas Mayer; and five grandchildren, Saige Allison, Toni Allison, Jessica Pittman, Katherine Pittman and Charm Lee Allison.
Visitation will be held at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Dr. Clyde Thomas and Rev. Stuart Kersey officiating.
