Albert "Sonny" Odell Mize, Jr.
(December 25, 1948 - August 16, 2013)

Albert "Sonny" Mize, Jr., 64 of Abilene, passed away at a local medical center on Friday August 16, 2013. A service is scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday August 19, 2013 at the Piersall Benton Chapel, 733 Butternut St with a burial to follow at the Hawley Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday evening from 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home.

Albert was born on Christmas Day 1948 in Stamford, Texas to Bea and Odell Mize, he was a twin. He attended Anson Schools and then went to work in the oil field where he made many lifelong friends. Sonny never met a stranger and he truly loved everyone.

Sonny loved to fish and spent lots of his time at his sister's pond catching catfish. He cared greatly for his family and a special love for his nieces and nephews.

Surviving Albert are his sisters; Linda Brown and husband Dennis and Eva Sellers [Twin] and husband Johnny, special friend Barbara Gladden, nieces; Misty and Nathan Reagan and Mindy and Chad Shadden and nephews, Cody and Kelly Brown and Cory and Heather Brown as well as many other extended family members and friends.
