Earl T. Roesch, 86, of Loami died Sunday evening, July 17, 1994, at Pleasant Hill in Girard.
He was born July 15, 1908, in New Berlin, son of William and Gertie Cooksey Roesch. He married Doris Newenham on Dec. 31, 1936, in Petersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of Loami; one son, William E. Roesch of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Dallas (Darlene) Witt of Loami; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Roesch and Clide Roesch, both of Springfield; one sister, Lucy Williamson of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Jessica Roesch, and a sister, Lois Roesch.
Mr. Roesch was an accountant for the Department of Corrections for over 15 years retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Loami United Methodist Church, Disabled American Veteran Hall-Hagler Chapter 15 and was an Army veteran of World War II where he served as a surgical medic in the European Theatre.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McCullough Funeral Home in New Berlin. Burial in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Loami with Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County conducting military graveside rites.
