Obituary: MRS. BAKER WEIR DIES AT PAOLI
Clara F. Weir, widow of Baker Weir, passed away Saturday evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Potter, Paoli. She was eighty-three years old last month. She was not well for the past three years, and has been seriously ill for the past six weeks, suffering from a heart condition.
Mr. Weir was born at Villanova, a daughter of the late Joaquim and Susanna Bishop. Her father was the originator of the platinum works at Sugartown, which has since developed into the present platinum works located at Malvern. She was the last of her family. Her husband died three years ago.
Four daughters survive: Susanna, wife of J. W. Potter, of Paoli; Laura, wife of J. M. Taylor, of Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Mary Quaintance, of Philadelphia, and Jennie, wife of Harry M. Taylor, of Miami, Fla.
The deceased had made her home at Paoli for the past ten years, but had always resided in the Mail Line district, having spent some time at Willistown and Berwyn.
Interment will be in Great Valley Baptist Cemetery.
