Melba Eulida Tullos, 88, of Borger passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014. Went to be with Jesus.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 15, at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev.Edward Smith of Houston, TX officiating.
Melba was born on September 14, 1925, to Elgie and Eva McIntire in McKinney, TX.
She married “Opie” J.D. Tullos on November 16, 1941 in McKinney.
Melba attended North Texas State University at Denton, TX. She got her cosmetology degree and taught at Frank Phillips College, Monahans High School, El Paso and Perryton Texas. She was a beautician in Amarillo and Borger.
Melba was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,Opie, step-daughter, Martha Tullos Stratton, sister, Betty McIntire, brothers, Billy Fred McIntire,James Edward McIntire and two infant children.
Survivors are: sons, Opie Tullos and companion, Phyllis Carlton Aliff of Borger, and Charles Tullos and wife, Carolyn of Amarillo; daughter, Brenda Tullos Standiford and husband, Dennis of Amarillo; brothers, Jackie McIntire and wife Joyce of Amarillo and Dale McIntire and wife Juli of Sanford; sister, Patsy Pierce of Amarillo; grandchildren, Tamela Stratton Stanley and husband David, Clinton Tullos, Valarie Tullos, Susan Ivey and husband Tony, Brock Tullos, Kristy Standiford, Bailey Tullos; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; four step- grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
