Elsie is the oldest of 10 children to John Nelson and Clara Belle (Butler) Nelson. She married Marshall Walker Sr. on 5 May 1922. Elise and Marshall had 7 children. Elsie looked a lot like her mother Clara. Both of them had knee problems. Clara never had anything done to her knees while Elsie had surgery and had them corrected. She use to live in Rockvale, Colorado, right next to her parents old place.
