Ada C Prieto died at San Simeon by the Sound nursing home in Greenport on June 14. She was 88.
Mrs Prieto was born in Springfield, Mass on Jan 2, 1907 to Alexander and Filamena Polidora. She worked as an inspector of monies for the American Bank Co. Formerly of the Bronx, she was a North Fork summer resident since 1936 and a permanent resident since 1960. She was an active member of the Church of the Open Door in Southold and the Southold chapter of the Sunshine Society.
Predeceased by her husband, José, in 1978, she is survived by a son, Richard of Southold; two grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
Family and friends visited Friday at DeFriest Funeral Home in Southold. A funeral service was conducted there Friday evening by the Rev Ed Hansen of the Church of the Open Door. Interment was Saturday morning at Cutchogue Cemetery.
Memorial donations made be made to the Church of the Open Door, Main Bayview Rd, Southold, NY 11971.
