Julia Marie Lawson was the wife of Marshall Zachery (Theophilus) Kingsbury. They were married on 25 February 1884 at Ste-Anne Catholic Church, Detroit, Wayne, Michigan. They had one daughter, Leona Magdelene and three sons, Leo Marshall, Charles Russell, and Warren Rudolph.

Julia was the daughter of Francis W. Lawson (Lauson) and Magdelene Maria Cicotte. Julia was a descendant of Early French Canadian Settlers and First Settlers of Detroit on her Mother's lineage. Her Father was a native of New York. He served in the Union Army, Co F. 9th Regiment, Michigan Cavalry and died of disease contracted during his service following the war. Her Mother, Magdalene, received a Widow's Pension until she died in 1892 - Application #356744 dated June 18, 1887.

Julia was the youngest of seven known children born to Francis and Magdalene Lawson. Julia had two sisters: Emily L. and Amanda and four brothers: Francis, Edwin L., George, and Charles F.

Julia Marie Lawson Kingsbury died on 8 Jan 1900 at Grace Hospital, Detroit, Michigan of complications following surgery. She was buried at Mount Elliott Cemetery, Lot 495-496, Section 69, Space 3. Her grave is unmarked. Her parents and some of her siblings are also buried in these lots at Mount Elliott Cemetery. Her husband remarried and is buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit with his 2nd wife. Their graves are also unmarked.
