Malcolm, son of Charles and Catherine Grubb, caught TB in the Navy during W.W.I. after being inoculated with an unsterilized needle. By 1920 he worked for his father's Wilmington hardware business, but later lived in a nursing home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he died. Malcolm never married.
