Robert Leslie Pape, 74, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 after an extended illness. Born June 17, 1937, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Robert and Lucille Pape. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne. He worked for nearly 50 years as a sales man in the floor covering business and was the owner of Ruhl's Furniture & Flooring, New Haven for the past 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Brumbaugh); sons, Robert E. Pape , Michael (Tonya) Pape, John (Joy) Pape and Jeff (YunAh) Pape; a daughter, Jennifer Pape; a step-son, Robert (Jamie) Warner; their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephan Pape.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Trinity English Lutheran Church with calling one hour prior. Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel.
