James R. Babcock Sr., 61, of Bradenton, Fla., died April 1, 2006, in Bradenton.
Born Aug. 1, 1944, in Painesville, he had been an area resident before moving to Bradenton 30 years ago.
He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in Greenland. He was very appreciative of the care and compassion shown by Hospice and Veteran's Funeral Care in Clearwater, Fla.
Mr. Babcock worked as a small appliance repairman in Bradenton, Fla., before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Marjorie Babcock.
