Kathryn Marie (Brunkhorst) Chambers, age 84 of River Falls, Wisconsin died Saturday, July 27, at Kinnic Health and Rehab in River Falls.
Kathryn was born July 28, 1928, in Belvidere, Minn., in Goodhue County, to Irwin and Clara Thomforde.
She grew up in the Red Wing and Lake City areas and attended Lake City High School, graduating in 1946. She lived near Woodville for a while doing housekeeping. She lived and worked in St. Paul and Minneapolis before moving to Washington. While in Washington she worked for the Boeing Company. She moved back to Wisconsin and lived at Ellsworth where she worked at the Ellsworth Care Center for about 10 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, Gerald "Louie," Dale, and Morris Brunkhorst.
Survivors include her son, Marvin Chambers of Prescott; one brother and two sisters, Neil (Phyllis) Brunkhorst of Prescott, Lorraine (Victor) Zillmer of Centralia, Wash., and Carol (Byron) Lambert of Yuma, Ariz.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Aug. 4, at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Belvidere, Minn., in Goodhue County.
