"On Thursday, July 1, Judie Swolgaard passed suddenly from this life into our Father's arms. She was the loving wife of Craig Swolgaard, devoted daughter of Adele Nowinski, caring sister of George Pazdowski, Marilyn Stangl, and Diane Christman. Judie was born in Michigan and moved to southern California in the early 1960s. She was presently employed with Department of Fish & Game, where she worked for Oil Spill Prevention & Response as a staff service analyst. She loved the outdoors, hiking, cross-country skiing, and live music. She especially loved her family which includes many nieces, nephews, and their children living in California, Michigan, and Arkansas. She always thought of her family. She married Craig Swolgaard in 1993 and was the crown jewel of his life. They spent nearly 17 years together in Folsom and went on several trips abroad to Mexico, Guatemala, and Chile. For many years she and Craig managed duplexes in Folsom for Peggy Jaynes. Judie was loved by so many people and deservedly so. She was and is a bright and positive force in the lives of so many, always thinking of others, always doing right for others. She had a quiet but strong faith in God which she demonstrated every day in all the ups and downs of her life. Our hearts are aching with grief over our loss. No one can replace this beautiful, graceful woman of kind spirit and kind actions, and we know in our hearts that Judie is at rest in God's paradise and will be waiting for us there. ''And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.'' Rev. 21:4. A memorial for Judie will be held at Miller Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8, at 1 p.m. It is located at 507 Scott Road in Folsom. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Smile Train, World Vision, or any organization that is dedicated to helping the poor."

Please remind your loved ones of how much they mean to you and let's try to slow this world down to the speed of love. -
