Services were held for Ulysess G. Shankles, 67, of Rt. 2, Rainsville, Tuesday, March 12 at Town Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Delmus Johnston and James Grindstaff officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Shankles is survived by his wife Mrs. Lois Shankles, Rt. 2, Rainsville; 1 daughter, Mrs. Sharon Allen, Rainsville; 2 sons, Kenneth Shankles, Rainsville and Jimmy Shankles, Guntersville; 1 brother, Hollice Shankles, Rainsville; 1 sister, Mrs. Symathia Slaten, Rainsville; 3 half-brothers, Buford Shankles, Broomtown, AL, Mr. Maurice and L. J. Shankles of Fort Payne; 6 grandchildren.
