Goram Anderson, father of William H. Anderson, president of the Fourth National Bank and one of the last survivors of the original pioneers of Sparta Township, died at his home in Sparta Friday afternoon after a four weeks' illness. He was 89 years old.
Born in Sweden, Mr. Anderson came to this country as a young man when crossing the Atlantic meant a six weeks voyage on a sailing vessel.
