Utica Observer Dispatch, October 7, 1927 edition. Page 30. Obituary, Mrs. John J. Crane, Clinton, died in a Utica Hospital last night after a brief illness. Mary Collins Crane was born in the Town of Marshall, March 12, 1858, a daughter of the late John and Johanna Collins. She was married to John J. Crane April 11, 1882, in Clinton and was a member of St. Mary's Church and its societies. Besides her husband, she leaves six children, Miss Bessie Crane, Joseph, John, Michael and Lawrence Crane, all of Clinton, and Stephen of Yorkville; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Conklin, Mohawk; Mrs. John Hart, Yorkville, and Mrs. Lincoln Gifford, Rome; one brother, George Collins, Rome, and several grandchildren.
