Donnie Revels, 74, of Pembroke, died Sunday in Southeastern General Hospital, Lumberton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Berea Baptist Church of Pembroke, with burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Jimmy Fox and the Rev. Timothy Creel.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Leona Revels; four sons, Chester, Gaylord, and Donnie Revels Jr., all of Pembroke, and Jerry Revels of Alexandria, Va.; five daughters, Dr. Kathleen Revels of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Aileen Linton and Mrs. Mary Locklear of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Ozmer Oxendine of Rt. 3, Maxton, and Mrs. Margaret Locklear of Shannon; seven grandchildren; three brothers, A. D. Revels of St. Pauls, and Neil and Oberman Revels, both of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Maynor and Mrs. Pearlie Lowry, both of Pembroke, and Mrs. Julie Flurie of Newport, Pa.
