Joseph "Jody" Ingram Adams, age 37 of Nicholasville, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Friday August 16, 2013 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mount Vernon, Kentucky after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy.

Jody was born on September 9, 1975 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a resident of Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care in Mount Vernon, Kentucky for the past sixteen years. Jody was an avid published cartoonist, sculptor, illustrator, clown and politician. In addition, he was an advocate for people with disabilities. Through his courage, inspiration and humor he touched many lives along his way, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church, and had been baptized at Southland Christian Church.

Jody is survived by his parents: Glenn and Betty (Kirby) Williams of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Tim and Jackie Adams of Pewee Valley, Kentucky; Two sisters: Yvette Williams (fiance' Dustin Gibson) of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Kesha Williams Kemp (Dean) of Nicholasville, Kentucky; Two nephews: Colton Kemp, Kiptyn Kemp, and a host of family, friends and neighbors.

Jody is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Chub and Ruby Adams; His maternal grandparents: John "Ing" and Flonnie Kirby; Paternal grandparents: Glenn and Murrel "Jean" Williams and his brother: Timothy Winford Adams.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph "Jody" Ingram Adams will be conducted on Wednesday August 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Poplar Grove Baptist Church with Rev . Rodney Murphy and Bro. Harold Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Joseph "Jody" Ingram Adams will be held on Tuesday August 20, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday August 21, 2013 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
