Helene S. Ahern, age 84, of Shelton entered into her eternal rest on Monday, August 19, 2013, the day before her 85th birthday and a month before her 65th wedding anniversary to her devoted husband, William F. Ahern.
She went home to the Lord with her loving family and life long friends by her side. Mrs. Ahern was born in Shelton on August 20, 1928, daughter of the late Augustine and Helen (Golomb) Skelly, and was a lifelong Shelton resident.
She is the cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren, the adored great grandmother of 10 great grandchildren, and leaves several nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
