He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cynthia Duncan Chauvin, Gonzales; mother, Ethel J. Chauvin, Gonzales; mother-in-law, Clara P. Duncan, Denham Springs; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carmel and Ricky Abney, Kelly and Lawson Edwards and Courtney and Jason Roussel, all of Gonzales; three sisters, Marie St. Pierre, Linda Decoteau and Marilyn Chauvin; three brothers, Nolan Chauvin Jr., Alvin Chauvin and Mike Chauvin, all of Gonzales; three stepsons, Curt Allen and Matthew and Aaron Lively, all of Gonzales; and eight grandchildren, Derrick and Ashley Abney, Kayla, Nicholas and Amanda Edwards and Bailey, Randee and Taylor Allen. Preceded in death by his father, Nolan Chauvin Sr.; a brother, Perry Chauvin; a son, James Chauvin; and father-in-law, Bill Duncan. Pallbearers will be family members.
