Norma Ethelyn Kidwell was the daughter of Amelia Louella Hillard (1894-1957) and Charles Washington Kidwell (1892-1937). Norma attended grade school in Guerneville, California, and graduated from Analy Union High School in 1941.

On November 5, 1944, Norma Ethelyn Kidwell and Wood Harrison Osborn (1912-1993) were married at the United Methodist Church parsonage in Sebastopol, California by the Reverend Stephen Thomas.

The two children born to Wood Harrison and Norma Ethelyn (Kidwell) Osborn are:
• Nancy Ann (1946-__)
• Dennis Charles (1949-__)

Wood was a rancher and they lived in Sebastopol after their marriage. In 1950, they moved to Santa Rosa, California where Wood was employed at the Santa Rosa Junior College. In 1956, they moved back to Sebastopol, California while Wood remained employed by the Santa Rosa Junior College.

In 1974, after 25 years working at the Santa Rosa Junior College, Wood retired and they moved to Etna, California where Wood enjoyed fishing for Steelhead in the nearby Scott River.

On February 16, 1993, Wood Harrison Osborn died at Etna California.

Norma has spent considerable time compiling a genealogy for the Kidwell family. She graciously provided copies of numerous old letters belonging to Mildred Atlantis (Hillard) Fellers to Lee Allen Hillard.

In 1994, Norma sold the property in Etna and purchased a trailer in Burney, California near her daughter.

In November 2001, Norma moved to a rest home in Ukiah, Calfornia near her son, Dennis. She later mover to Yreka, California.

Norma Ethelyn Kidwell Osborn went to heaven on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She was born March 23, 1923 in Monte Rio, CA to Charles and Amelia Kidwell.

Norma grew up in Sonoma County and graduated from Analy High School in Sebastopol, CA. She married Wood Harrison Osborn on November 5, 1944. To this union two children were born, Nancy and Dennis. Norma and Wood retired to Etna, CA in 1974, where she spent her time gardening, reading, creative writing, and visiting with friends and family. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Sebastopol, Fort Jones and Fall River Mills, CA. She exemplified integrity, honesty, hard work, and compassion throughout her lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wood, and her sister, Kathryn. She is survived by her two children and their spouses; Nancy and Jerry, Dennis and Kathy, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Her brother George and his wife Rebecca also survive her.

She will be interred with her husband in the Sebastopol Cemetery.
