Rebecca was the daughter of Squire Evilsizor and Christina Comer. She was first married to Joseph Jeremiah Bisset on 16 Jan 1862, and had two children, Joseph Bisset and Eliza "Ida" Belle Bisset. After Jeremiah passed away during the Civil War, she married Joshua B. Zirkle on 10/17/1869. They had the following children: Rose A. Minter Zirkle Shaffer Fries; Henry F. Zirkle; Sarah Viola Zirkle Benedict; Mary Almeda Zirkle Lee; and Charles B. Zirkle.

Rebecca ZIRKLE died at her home in Springfield Thursday, aged
68yrs. Interment in Terre haute Cemetery. Rev Barney Warren of
Springfield conducted the service.
