Mr. McGaha is survived by a brother, Ben McGaha, of Newport, as well as several nieces and nephews. He had a close relationship with one niece in particular, Mrs. Barbara Henry, who spent time caring for Mr. McGaha throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Margaret Jane McGaha; brothers, Rupert, Fuller, Orvin, Roe, Ray, Roy, and Tennyson McGaha; as well as sisters Nora Freeman, Pacy Reneau, Reva, Rema, and Ruth.
Mr. McGaha was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church of Chestnut Hill.
Funeral services, Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at 8:00 p.m. at the Big Springs Baptist Church with Reverends Jerry Colbert and Alfred Newman officiating.
Graveside interment services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Proffitts Cemetery (Chestnut Hill). Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
