Nathan Thomas Eckert, 4, of Shallowater passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family, after a year long battle with cancer. Nathan was born on Oct. 16, 2008 in Lubbock to Jason and Lindsay (Lupton) Eckert. He was a little boy who loved Superman, his Legos, super heroes, and his seven year old big brother, Joshua. He was loved and adored by his parents, Jason and Lindsay Eckert; brother, Joshua; grandparents, Pat and Janice Lupton of Shallowater, Bernie Eckert of Taylor, and Shaun Eckert of Georgetown, his aunts and uncles, JoAnne and Leo Lindeman, Lorne Lupton, Patrick and Jill Lupton, and Kristen and Jason King; his cousins Caroline, Claire, Chloe, Cooper, and Braxton; along with a host of extended family members and friends. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make an offering to the Make a Wish Foundation in memory of Nathan Eckert, 4413 82nd Street, Suite 203, Lubbock, Texas 79424. ntx.wish.org Nathan will always be missed, but never forgotten, by those he loved as well as those that loved him. Visitation with family will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
