William Johnston Taylor married his cousin, Jane Tayor Taitt. They were both descendants of William Phillip Johnston, 1767-1846, & Charlotte Rowson, 1778-1855.
They had three daughters:
Madeleine Tait Taylor Reynolds, born 29 Aug 1862
Clara Taitt Taylor, 1864-1877
Laura Taitt Taylor, born 15 Apr 1868 in Pennsylvania
