Born and raised in Hazleton, Luz. Co., Pa until the age of 5. His father moved their little family to the "Water Front" of Camden N.J. in search of less dangerous work then mining.

At age 17 he began working as a packer for Kolsun Brothers Wholesale Candy and Tabacco Co., where he met the beautiful Jackie Kolsun. They married in 30 Oct. 1954.
He then worked as a fork lift driver for the U.S. Steel in Delair, Camden Co., NJ from 1955 to 1972

In 1971 he was diagnosed with lung and liver cancer, tho it was a brain tumor that claimed his life on 10 June 1973.
