Mrs. Minnie Bell Brice, 71, widow of James D. Brice of Thurmont, died at 3 o'clock Sunday morning in Frederick Memorial Hospital. Her husband died 18 years ago. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Sophia Davis Portner, also of Thurmont. Surviving are these sons and daughters, John F. Brice, Thurmont; Mrs. Frank Shuff, Littlestown, Pa., Mrs. William Fultz and Mrs. Raymond Hewitt, Lewistown; Mrs. Albert Misner, Mrs. Walter Keeney; Mrs. Harvey Kauffman, James Brice and Mrs. Ruby Burns, all of Thurmont; 32 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters; Harry and Roscoe Portner, Mrs. Russell Forney, Mrs. Harry Anders, Mrs. Mary Yingling and Mrs. Lillie Poole, all of Thurmont.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Thurmont where brief services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Final rites will be at 3 o'clock in Thurmont E. U. B. Church,. Rev. Elmer Andres will officiate. Interment will be in The United Brethren cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors.
