Ione Bish Anderson, 94, of Sycamore, died Sunday, January 19, 1997 at the DeKalb County Nursing Home. She was born October 3, 1902, in Hinckley, the daughter of Charles and Louise (Weddige) Bish. She married Floyd Anderson June 18, 1937.

She attended the Jennings Seminary in Aurora and received her teaching certificate December 16, 1939, from Northern Illinois State Teachers College. She was an elementary school teacher in rural Waterman, Charter Grove and Central School in Sycamore.

Ione is survived by three nephews, Richard Darling of South Padre Island, TX, Harold (Mary Lynn) Bish of Hermann, MO, and Roger (Marlene) Bish of Hinckley; two nieces, Sylvia Bish of Des Plaines, and Nancy Stech of West Virginia; ten great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Harold Bish; and one sister, Hazel Darling.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 1997 at 11 a.m. at Butala Funeral Home of Sycamore. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
