Berneta M. Polzin, age 90, passed away July 1, 2009 at Rennes Health Center in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, where she was a resident. Born May 9, 1919, Berneta was the daughter of the late Leo and Elsie (Juedes) Behnke.
On August 31, 1940, she married Wallace C. Polzin at St. John's Lutheran Church. Berneta enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spoiling her grandchildren.
Berneta is survived by her husband Wallace;
a daughter, Barbara (Cliff) Anderson;
three sons: Wallace, Jr.(Donna), Keith (Stacey) and Alan (Nancy);
two sisters: Vivian Carlson and Caroline Tachmier;
a sister-in-law Jen Behnke;
16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Everette and a daughter Linda Lee Polzin and her siblings, Everdena Schaut, Dolores Wyss and Russell Behnke.
Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
