Olive E. Pickering, 87, a resident of Carrier Mills Nursing Home, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Derek Downs officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at the funeral home.
She was born June 27, 1915 in Saline County to Hugh and Ruby (Goodrich) Cozart. She married Orval Pickering, who preceded her in death on April 11, 1977.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrier Mills.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lindle (Debbie) Pickering of Sparta; a sister, Freda Dillon of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, David, Tony and Jeremy Pickering; and four great-grandchildren, Luke, Amanda, Caleb, and Briana Pickering.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild and one sister.
