On Dec. 16, 1933, he married the former Margaret "Marge" Grady. She preceded him in death in 1999.
Leland worked for Thompson Boat Co. for 32 years and then was head custodian at the UW-Marinette for 12 years. He operated a Servicemaster business from 1965 to 1982. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo; the Peshtigo School Board; The Peshtigo Fire Department; he was an avid golfer and loved to play cards.
Leland is survived by two daughters: Ann (Leonard) Lemke of Peshtigo, WI and Sharon (Harvey) Kamps of Coleman, WI; 17 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, a grandson Brian Kamps and a great-granddaughter Cassie Konitzer.
