In 1870 William was age 35, a carpenter and living in Plymouth next door to his mother Miriam age 77, Flora Binford age 44 and Charles Adams age 49. William's wife Romenia C. was 29 and they had one child George F. then age 5. William owned a home.
Death record: died, lifelong resident of Plymouth at age 66, 9 mos and 14 days, following a fall. Burial Turnpike Cemetery, WW Mason, undertaker, Plymouth, date not indicated.

William Henry Adams died about 2 o'clock Tuesday morning after lying since October 25 in a paralyzed condition as the result of falling ten feet from a ladder as noted at the tome in these columns. He was 65 years old and leaves a widow and two children, a son of this town and a daughter, Mrs. McClure of Hebron.
He was a much respected citizen of the town and had served in the capacity of Selectman and other offices of trust in the town. He was a Charter Member of the Plymouth Lodge of Odd Fellows and that organization attended the funeral which took place at the residence Thursday afternoon at 1:30. Interment at Turnpike Cemetery. The Plymouth Record, November 9, 1901, p4.
