Lesa Ann Backstrom was born, September 28, 1960, at Carthage, Illinois to Ralph and Ann (Cover) Barclay. She graduated from Wayne High School and Wayne State College. Lesa married Perry Backstrom, August 11, 1984 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayne. She was a substitute teacher at Wayne Community Schools. Lesa was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and Church Council in Wayne, Wayne Recreation Board, and American Heart Association.
Lesa is survived by her husband, Perry; daughters, Jamie Backstrom and Leslie Backstrom of Wayne; father, Ralph Barclay of Wayne; sisters, Cathy (David) Justi of Pekin, IL; Patty Wieland of Wayne; mother-in-law, Blanche Backstrom of Wayne; brother-in-law, Verdel (Virginia) Backstrom of Wayne; nieces and nephews.
