BERT SHERIDAN DEAD

Bert Sheridan, 902 Topeka St., a retired hardware salesman, died unexpectedly as he was leaving the morning service Sunday at the First Friends Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Friends Church, conducted by the Rev. John Littlefield. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Sheridan was born in Emporia Oct. 24th, 1882, the son of Charles W. and Etha Lisor Sheridan. He married Olive Nancy Davis, July 24th, 1916. He was employed by the Haynes Hardware Company for 39 years and retired about five years ago. Surviving are his wife, of the home; two sons, Richard B. Sheridan, Lawrence, and Walter W. Sheridan, Millville, N. J.; two daughters, Lillian, Mrs. Loren Nuzman, Topeka, who was married Friday, and Elaine, Mrs. Max Davis, Argonia; a brother, George Sheridan, 824 State St., and a sister, Mrs. E. P. Witherspoon, Kansas City, Mo.; three granddaughters, two grandsons, and one great grandchild. He was a member of the First Friends Church and the Emporia Masonic Lodge.
