BENTON, LA - Services for Charles "Pete" Peterson, 80, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Mike David, pastor of Red River Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Lay Cemetery, Benton, LA, with USAF Honors. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

Pete was born November 2, 1932 in Rocky Mount, LA to Edgar and Florence Bounds Peterson and passed away August 22, 2013 in Bossier City. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Pete was retired from the Bossier City Police Department and he served on the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Posse.

Our precious memories of Pete, he was a wonderful husband, dad and Paw Paw. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who will forever love him. He was a Christian, a member of the Red River Baptist Church, which he felt was his family and loved dearly. He was proud to be and a part of the Men's Sunday School Class.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Pete is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth "Liz" Peterson; sons, Craig A. Peterson and wife Cynthia of Sachse, TX, Barry K. Peterson and wife Andrea of Eureka Springs, AR and Randy Peterson and wife Marisa of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, W. C. Peterson of Midland, TX, Howard Mack Peterson of Shreveport, LA, Bobby Peterson of Frisco, TX and Johnny Peterson of Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren, April and David Peterson, Samuel and Daniel Peterson and great granddaughter, Mirrium Peterson.

Pallbearers will be his three sons, Craig, Barry and Randy Peterson, Clint Furgason a lifelong friend, and good neighbors Rob Whatley and Brad Deville. Honorable pallbearers, the Men's Sunday School Class of Red River Baptist Church.
