Elder Robert Nettles was the founder of the first Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church, located in Salemburg, NC. He later relocated and in 1978, he started the second Faith Tabernacle in Fayetteville, NC, which he pastored for over 15 years. He also served on the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Carolina State Advisory Board. Elder Nettles was also a radio minister at WIDU with the "Make My Face To Shine And I'll Go Through" Broadcast. He was also a former employee of Black and Decker company. He gave his life to God in 1964 under the leadership of the late Corrie Anders of New Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, also in Fayetteville, NC. He was recognized as a profound and dynamic evangelist by all that knew him, especially by many of his colleagues.
